Susan: integrate some spanish words in the story. if you do not know spanish, ask for help and you can learn another language. also you can integrate objects- from latin culture- show the object before telling the story. if it is a piÃ±ata, make one with the kids and ask them to tell a story about their lives or their birthday with piÃ±ata. musical instruments are great for developing stories and integrating language. tere

Storytellers belong to a classic group that has existed for thousands of
years. Every time we tell a story we become another member of the
storytelling spiritual club. We join Aesop, Homer, Brothers Grimm,
Charles Dickens, Chaucer, JR. Tolkien and Shakespeare.

We are the Storytellers !

I am beginning some story hours in English to children whose native language is Spanish. Could anyone give me suggestions of effective techniques to maximize the fun for the children?
